Running Boards and Entry Systems
AdaptaVan™ exclusively offers Safe-T-Step running boards and a Safe-T-Stepwell entry system to ensure those who drive or ride in our wheelchair vans a safe, easy entry and exit. These running boards were designed by Main Mobility, the manufacturer of the AdaptaVan, and are made to hold up to extreme weather conditions.
These 10" deep running boards are made from high quality, corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a stamped top surface to provide extra traction. They are available in lengths of 43" and 97" and can be installed at the driver, passenger or rear doors of our wheelchair vans.
The Safe-T-Stepwell entry system includes converting the front passenger area into a convenient entrance and exit for ambulatory passengers and is available with or without a bus-style door opener. Even when equipped with the bus-style door opener, the OEM door opening mechanism remains fully functional. This assures that the modification remains compliant with government-mandated passenger vehicle safety standards (FMVSS).
